Residents Upset After Alligator Is Stabbed In The Head

SARASOTA, Fla. -- People who live in a Sarasota neighborhood say someone has attacked their unusual mascot. They say the alligator that lives in their pond hasn't hurt anything, not even ducks that land on the water.

Residents are so affectionate with the gator they named it Elvis. But, Sunday, one neighbor says she saw Elvis swim by after he clearly had been attacked.

　頭にナイフが突き刺さったまま泳いでいるワニ。虐待によるもの。このワニ（エルビス）自体は大人しいワニだったとのこと。
　思いっきり入ってますね。犯人はおそらく、ワニが陸に上がって寝ているところかなんかを左側から襲ってますな。＋、左手でワニの口を押さえつつ刺したのでしょう。でないとこんなに入らない。
　ところで、左利きの犯人だったら、上記の動作は全て左右逆になる。写真も刃が反対側に向いているはず。

　矢ガモっていたけど、ナイフワニだと新種のワニみたいだ。なんと呼ぶべきなんだろう。
